Pray for the fair that God would bless…
“When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble?” Job 34:29a
The Atmosphere
- That our booth neighbors would be a positive or at least neutral influence
- That there would be minimal auditory or visual distractions to workers and visitors while in the booth
- That AGM would have a good testimony with fair administration in case vendors or patrons would make false accusations against us
- That we would have opportunity to witness to our booth neighbors as appropriate
The Workers
- That we would be prepared spiritually, physically and mentally for the work
- That we would remain spiritually focused during the shift
- That we would have courage and be bold presenting the Gospel to the lost
- That we would have faith in God’s power to work in the hearts of the hearers
- That we would have genuine love, seriousness, prayer, humility and cheerfulness at all times
- That we would be sensitive and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit
- That we would be sensitive to the spiritual needs of prospects
The Prospects
- That passersby would be drawn and open to spiritual topics and not apprehensive to come inside the booth to talk about them more
- That the devil would have no foothold in the minds of the hearers
- That no interruptions would keep the prospects from hearing the entire Gospel
- That the hearers would not forget the Word of truth given to them and that the Holy Spirit would convict them to repentance
- That peers nor parents would steal the Word of truth from the hearts of the hearers
- That Christian visitors, with unsaved friends or relatives with them, would be concerned about their souls and not pass up the opportunity for them to hear the Gospel but rather encourage them to take the time to listen
The Witness
- In spite of our nervousness and ignorance, that the Gospel would be presented clearly, effectively and Biblically
- That the Word would prick the heart of the hearers
The Materials
- That the tracts given out would be read, understood and passed on to others to be read again and again
- That the booth display would be interpreted correctly by passersby
The Follow-up
- That converts would be open, seeking, and receptive to Christian follow-up
- That this fruit would “abide in the vine” to bear more fruit
- That there would be Bible reading, studying, memorization and Christian fellowship daily
“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless
come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Ps 126:6
